The majority agree that it is benificial to nominate A+ students. They do well in every aspect and can be role models for other students. Nominating A+ students can stimulate more students to work harder and learn from each other.
However, some students disagree. They think some A+ students are only good at earning high grades. Nominating A+ students may have some negative impact. It can drive students to compete against each other. Students may suffer more pressure and experience more anxiety.
An A+ student not only needs to do well in study, but also needs to be good at other aspects. Different people may have different ideas regarding what a A+ student may look like. I think the key is to make a commonly-agreed-upon standards for norminating A+ students by collecting opnions from teachers and students.
